In the Quick Scan you can look at the responses that are gathered. Under the header ‘Select questions to scan’ you can select the questions to look at. Press ‘Submit’ afterwards, and they will appear below. There are also some other parameters you can look at, namely:
ParticipatedThrough (Web/Android): This tells you whether your respondents have filled in the inquiry using the web or the app collector.
Submission date (if available): The date when the story and data were submitted.
Mode of data collection: Whether the story and data were collected using the Testing, Personal or Interviewer code (see Collector).
This is the place where you can exclude responses from your database, for example, if you submitted a trial fake response that you do not want to appear in the final report. To exclude responses, untick the box in front of that respondent's answers. Equally, to include responses into your database, tick the box in front of that respondent’s answers.
You can also look at the documents the participants have uploaded here and listen to their voice or video recordings.
Responses that are collected in the testing mode are marked in yellow in the Quick Scan. They will automatically be excluded from your database as they are earmarked as test responses. If you do wish to include them in your database, you can tick the box to include them.
Deleting responses It is also possible to delete responses altogether here. Please note that if you delete responses here, you delete them from the data set altogether. It is possible that you cannot delete responses as this is tied to the rights in an organisation. If you would like to delete responses but cannot, contact the owner of your organisation in the Sprockler system to do this.
Editing responses It is also possible to edit open text responses, for example, if you want to correct some grammar mistakes. You can do this by selecting the open question under the 'Select questions to scan' and pressing Submit. The question texts will then appear with a little edit pencil, if you have the rights to do this. The original text will remain saved and is not deleted. Rather, editing the text provides an additional edited text that will appear in the reports.
